Successfully represented psychiatrist in Ontario Court of Appeal, paramountcy of special limitation period in Mental Health Act over general provincial Limitations Act.

Toronto Hydro-Electric System in its 2015-2019 and 2020-2024 electricity distribution rate applications before the Ontario Energy Board (EB-2014-0116)

Acted for the Plaintiff in a claim against the company’s former Vice Chairman and CEO for breach of fiduciary duty relating to the payment of compensation awards to various officers and directors.

Successfully represented the client in staying an action brought by its former lawyer and having the lawyer’s accounts ordered to assessment.

Successfully represented Canadian Civil Liberties Association in the Supreme Court of Canada, establishing constitutionally protected expectation of privacy in household garbage.

Counsel to one of the respondents in a lengthy proceeding before the Ontario Securities Commission following the freezing of the non-bank asset-backed commercial paper market in August 2007.
