Bio
Julia is an articling student at Lax O’Sullivan Lisus Gottlieb. She earned her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School, where she served as the 3L Representative for the First-Generation Lawyers of Osgoode and as President of the Canadian Italian Association of Osgoode.
During law school, Julia developed strong legal research skills as a student researcher focusing on anti-discrimination law and the protection of political belief, and as a junior caseworker at the Community and Legal Aid Services Program. Through Pro Bono Students Canada, she completed a research placement with the Northwest Territories Human Rights Commission, where she examined the impact of sweeping non-disclosure agreements and the corresponding access to justice issues. She also gained advocacy experience through the Anti-Discrimination Intensive Program, where she worked on client matters and prepared for representation before administrative tribunals.
Julia earned her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Law & Society. She graduated as the recipient of the YUFA Undergraduate Scholarship, awarded to the upper-year student with the highest cumulative grade point average in the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies.
