Gareth is an articling student at Lax O'Sullivan Lisus Gottlieb. He completed his J.D. at Queen's University, where he served as a caseworker at the Prison Law Clinic, representing incarcerated clients at disciplinary hearings and parole matters. He also worked as a research assistant to two Queen's Law professors, edited submissions for the Queen's Law Journal, and participated in the Davies Corporate/Securities Law Moot as a researcher. Gareth graduated with distinction from the University of British Columbia with a B.A. in Political Science.
Passionate about diversity and community, Gareth served as President of the Queen's Asian Law Students' Association and volunteered as an academic tutor and mentor to first-year law students.
