Bio

Mahek is developing a broad litigation practice. She gained experience in commercial litigation, estates litigation, corporate governance disputes and arbitration when she summered and articled at the firm. Before joining the firm, Mahek worked at the Community and Legal Aid Services Program, where she worked closely with clients, negotiated with opposing counsel, and successfully represented a client at trial in the Ontario Court of Justice. 

Mahek earned her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2024. During law school, she worked as a student researcher, preparing Charter motions and analyzing criminal law matters such as sentencing submissions. She excelled in mooting competitions, such as the Lerners LLP Cup and Cassels Brock Cup. She worked with Pro Bono Students Canada and competed locally on the Baby Gale mooting team and internationally in the International Criminal Court Moot Competition. 

Mahek completed her Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Alberta with a specialization in Business Economics and Law.
