Back to all cases Represented the Canadian Association of Critical Care Nurses in the Supreme Court of Canada as intervener in Cuthbertson v Rasouli.  In Rasouli, the Court considered whether physicians have the discretion to withdraw life support over the objections of the patient’s family members.  The CACCN argued that the withdrawal of life support must be with the consent of the patient’s substitute decision maker. 2013 SCC 53
