Maya Ruby

Bio

Maya is a summer student at Lax O’Sullivan. She is completing her J.D. at Western University, where she has developed a strong interest in litigation and has been active in mooting. Maya was the top oralist in Western's First Year Appellate Competition, a top 20 oralist in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, and a finalist in Western's Lerners Cup.

Maya previously summered at a full-service law firm in Dublin, Ireland, where she worked on data protection and commercial law matters. Maya completed her undergraduate degree with honours in English Literature at Queen’s University, specializing in science fiction. She conducted independent research with the English department and chaired the Queen’s Undergraduate Conference in Literature.
