Cole employs his unique knowledge of the courts to achieve the best results for his clients. He understands that persuasive advocacy is marked by strategic planning, straightforward arguments, and meticulous preparation.  

Cole is developing a broad litigation practice. Prior to joining Lax O’Sullivan, he clerked for the judges of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, assisting in disputes at the trial level and in appeals before the Divisional Court. 

Cole received his J.D. from Queen’s University Faculty of Law in 2019. At law school, he earned the highest standing in multiple courses, served as an academic tutor, and received awards for excellence in volunteer positions. An active participant in the moot program, Cole competed at the OTLA cup, where he won an award for the best cross-examination. He also spent a summer working at the Queen’s Legal Aid clinic. In his final year of study, Cole published a paper on class actions and presented at a conference, earning recognition as a top oralist.
