Court Gives Go-Ahead To Mobilicity Investors’ $1.2 Billion Claim Against The Federal Government
Overview
On Friday March 6, the Superior Court of Justice allowed a $1.2 billion lawsuit by Mobilicity’s investors to proceed. LOLG represented the Plaintiffs, Quadrangle Group LLP and QCP CW S.a.r.l., and successfully defended a motion brought by the Attorney General of Canada to strike or stay the Claim. The Claim alleges negligent misrepresentation, unjust enrichment, and intentional interference with economic relations, and seeks damages from the federal government for the lost opportunity cost of the Plaintiffs’ $350 million investment in Mobilicity. http://canlii.ca/t/ggn0m
