Sapna is effective at solving problems while focusing on her clients’ strategic goals. Sapna is dedicated to the needs of her clients and passionately advocates on their behalf.

Sapna maintains a varied litigation practice with a focus on commercial litigation, class actions and insolvency matters.

Prior to joining Lax O'Sullivan, Sapna was a litigation associate at a prominent insolvency and litigation boutique. She also practiced at a leading national law firm, where she represented large public and private corporations and government agencies. Her previous experience includes class actions, professional liability, medical malpractice and complex commercial matters.

Sapna obtained her J.D. from Queen’s University. While at law school, Sapna was the Speaker of the Law Students’ Association and a volunteer with the Ontario Justice Education Network and Pro Bono Students Canada. She also served as a legal intern at the Department of Justice, Treasury Board Secretariat in Ottawa.

  • Growthworks WV Management Ltd. v. Growthworks Canadian Fund Ltd., 2018 ONSC 3108 – acted for the defendant in a claim concerning management fees and breach of a management agreement.
  • Represented a corporation in obtaining summary judgment dismissing a class action brought by Plaintiff alleging, among other things, contravention of the Competition Act.
  • Represented a corporation in its efforts to retrieve its confidential information from departing executives.
  • Represented a corporation against shareholders in an oppression remedy dispute.
  • Assisted in the successful representation of a private citizen in bringing an Anti-SLAPP motion against a government entity.
