LOSL Successful In The Court Of Appeal

Paul Michell was successful on behalf of a prominent personal injury law firm, Legate & Associates LLP, in the Ontario Court of Appeal in Frank v. Legate, 2015 ONCA 631.  The law firm, who acts for former patients of a physician in lawsuits against her and complaints to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, was sued by the physician for defamation and various economic torts.  The Court of Appeal upheld the motion judge's order striking out the claim, and held that the action was an abuse of process.  A link to the decision can be found here:   https://www.canlii.org/en/on/onca/doc/2015/2015onca631/2015onca631.pdf
