Represented a coalition of national and provincial nurses associations in the Supreme Court of Canada as interveners in
Canada (Attorney General) v. PHS Community Services Society. In PHS, the Court determined that the federal government’s decision to not extend an exemption for the lawful operation of a safe injection site in Vancouver’s Downtown East Side was in violation of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
