Joanna is a creative thinker and tenacious advocate. She approaches complex legal issues with confidence and is committed to driving strategic outcomes.

Joanna is an articling student at Lax O’Sullivan. She received her JD from Osgoode Hall Law School, where she was awarded various course prizes and was recognized for her legal research and writing. In her second year, Joanna participated in the Community and Legal Aid Services Program, where she worked closely with clients, conducted negotiations with Crown counsel, prepared for trial, and appeared frequently in court. At Osgoode, Joanna was also dedicated to several student-life initiatives in her capacities as a Peer Counsellor, Student Ambassador, Orientation Week Executive and Dean’s Lecture Note Scribe.

Prior to law school, Joanna worked as a policy advisor at the Government of Ontario, where she was involved in the development of several regulatory and research initiatives concerning the alcohol and cannabis industries.
