Success In Arbitration Hearing Regarding Community Development Project
Overview
LOLG successfully represented a land owner in a dispute over land ownership in a luxury community development project located in the GTA. The client’s claim to ownership of the land at issue was disputed by a major developer that also claimed ownership of the land and the trustee of the community development project. The dispute went to arbitration in accordance with the cost sharing agreement that governed the relationship between the developers that owned land in the project. The arbitrator found that the firm’s client was entitled to ownership of the land and directed the trustee to convey the land accordingly.
